Spring muskies

Everyone wants to get on the water in spring and you can guarantee I am one of them and I know I want to go try out my new baits I’ve accumulated over the off season but there is one thing you got to keep in mind and that is lure size at this time of the year the fish go to the sallow ends of bays and sit in heavy cover such as weeds and lily pads and I have found that throwing smaller baits work better but now some may be wondering how small. We have went down to the size of bass baits to get some of these fish to hit but by far my favorite would be a smaller buck tail such as an 8inch instead of an 11inch and that’s what you would see me throwing along weed lines or lily pads in the back of these bays.
